By creating a Bellspay wallet you agree to the terms below.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Nigeria to open a Bellspay wallet. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, and you must complete the identity checks described in our KYC Policy.
2. Your wallet
Your Bellspay wallet is a prepaid, non-interest-bearing balance you fund from bank accounts or cards you own. You may not use it for illegal activity, gambling that violates Nigerian law, or on behalf of third parties.
3. Transactions
All wallet debits require your transaction PIN. Airtime, data, TV, electricity, betting top-ups and bank transfers are processed through licensed partners. Transaction fees, where applicable, are disclosed before you confirm. Daily and velocity limits apply and may be adjusted based on your verification tier and risk profile.
4. Failures & refunds
If a transaction fails, funds are automatically returned to your wallet. If a completed order was not delivered by the biller, report it within 7 days through Support. Full detail is in our Refund Policy.
5. Fraud & suspicious activity
We may pause a wallet or reverse a transaction if we detect fraud, chargeback risk, or misuse, in line with our AML Statement. Persistent violations may result in permanent closure.
6. Fees
We may charge fees for certain services such as bank transfers. Current fees are displayed in-app before you confirm. We will notify you before any fee change.
7. Availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Third-party billers, banks and networks may experience downtime outside our control.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Bellspay is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, downtime of third-party billers, or losses caused by your failure to protect your PIN or password.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time after withdrawing your balance. We may suspend service for breach of these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
10. Changes
We may revise these terms. We will announce material changes in-app at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
